time to get shipwrecked!

ok so its been seriously way too long since i last posted something...anything. needless to say there has been a lot going on. started off the year with the intention of starting "a painting a day" project...ummm that was a pretty epic fail...as much as i would like to produce a painting a day...it seems to not be in me as of this moment. i have been quite productive. painting painting and painting some more. just had a great show with lanz on may 22...i dare say almost a hundred people showed up!! awesome!

my newest project now is my "shipwrecked art"...more to come with that. all i can say is that its going to be major epic awesomeness!!

Day 2

so this is painting #2 and on my walk that day i was watching the waves and visualizing them for my painting. inspired by my biggest muse...the pacific ocean

Day 1

so feb. 1st was my official start date for 365 in 365 days.  this is painting #1...and for these paintings for the month of february i am focusing on paintings from memory and not using any visual references. these canvases are 6"x6"

ok these aren't in order..the middle square piece was done 1st, then this small stripy one then the gradation piece

it has been a long long time since i've made a blog entry. so my dear friend lanz has embarked on a painting adventure with me. we are doing 365 paintings in 365 days.  this is a great project to exercise my creative muscles!! i had a rough start...got in the way of myself, but not anymore! i'm in it to win it and i am looking forward to seeing what evolves from this process. it goes against my anal tendencies to work rework and rework a painting, so with this project i am letting go of that...once my "painting a day" is done it is done. we originally started this project several weeks ago but i was a little late out of the gate. i am on track now and i am moving forward down this creative road with my awesome and supportive friend lanz!!  ok i'm having slow wifi...i have pics to post..fingers crossed!
